The young people I work with in this setting are the most settled I have seen them in all the years I have worked with them. The home is warm and welcoming and they enjoy the activities they have experienced living here and it is lovely that these are celebrated in pictures around the home.

The children appear to be responding very well to the rules and boundaries in place, and just in the 6 months since I last saw them, I can see a big difference in their behavior and how they are able to manage themselves which is a really positive change. They shared they enjoy the food and activities and whilst i was there, interacted well with staff, being polite and calm which was really nice to see.

Staff at montrose house have been exceptional from our first encounter as social workers for the children. They went above and beyond to support the 2 siblings throughout their transition into placement, nothing was too much for them. The children are settled in the home and we have such a warm welcome in our visits. So far, it’s been a pleasure working with the home staff and seeing the progression in the children is fantastic.
